What's On
Our Sunday meetings take place weekly from 10:30am to 12 noon. Normally, we will have worship and a speaker once a fortnight, then more creative approaches to meeting together in between.
- Where you see ‘🛋️ Crib Chat’ in the calendar, this is a less formal meeting in our café for discussion, prayer & tea/coffee
- All meetings are on Sundays usually…
- …those listed a grey are during the week. These are public events, so feel free to come along!
Whilst we’re unable to offer a Sunday School at the moment, everyone is welcome to join our family-friendly service each week. We have a table, paper & pens/pencils out for the kids to colour/play during the service if they prefer.
Here’s a sneak peek at our current calendar…
FREE SCHOOL UNIFORMS:
Do you need uniform for any of the following schools?
BRING YOUR UNWANTED UNIFORM:
For a number of years now, the people of BCLC Church have been serving our community by providing a food locker.
During lockdown, we have re-doubled our efforts and made fortnightly deliveries of food parcels to those in need.
Referrals for help come via social care professionals, BAVO or a school. If you’d like to know more, just email us at familiesteam@mybclc.org or click – here.
Life groups are small groups of people who meet in homes around the Bridgend area – they are very informal, focus on relationship and are the heart of BCLC Church life. They are an ideal opportunity to connect with others, build meaningful friendships and grow spiritually.
We currently have 3 active groups:
Gail Thomas – Cefn Cribwr
Gail has served BCLC for over 60 years, as her father did before her. She and her late husband, Mal, led the vision that resulted in the building of our current facility – a great resource for the church and community.
Gail continues to serve tirelessly as a life group leader and church treasurer, as well as being the pastoral ‘heart’ of the church.
Debbie and Glyn Udraufski – Bridgend (Litchard)
Both extremely down to earth people, Debbie and Glyn are a hardworking committed family unit, who are fun loving and care deeply about your personal journey.
As as a working professional, Debbie is used to dealing with people, is a team player, and has a real interest in seeing everyone become their best self.
Glyn is an avid Liverpool supporter and has played an active part in our men’s fellowship. Both Debbie and Glyn will be happy to welcome you.
Jonny & Karen Matthew – Pen-y-Fai
Jonny & Karen are both social care professionals who have lived in Bridgend for the last 5 years and joined BCLC Church in 2017. Jonny now heads up the leadership team (but the team do LOTS of the work!). They are both passionate about serving people and working together to live the ‘Jesus Life’ in modern-day Wales. They live in Pen-y-Fai with Dot, the Jack Russell terrier and open their home for an informal evening of discussion, prayer and coffee once a fortnight on a Wednesday.
Coronavirus Update No.6 – 19 April 2022.
BCLC meets weekly on a Sunday & you are welcome to join us!
-
- Our sign-in track-n-trace and one way systems are no longer operating
- MASKS are no longer compulsory, but you are free to wear one during the meeting if you wish
- We have a supply of masks if you forget to bring one.
With love, the members & leadership of BCLC Church, Cefn Cribwr.
The Gym has now been closed down permanently & the equipment removed.
THANKS to everyone who used the gym; as a church, we were unable to continue to staff and service it going forward, and much of the equipment was broken, old and run down. Given the lack of staffing and funds available to replace the equipment, we took the decision to close it permanently. We hope our regular users are able to find an alternative soon.
Wishing you well!
Cheers, BCLC Church Leadership Team
